0

A bumper crop of half term activities kicks off this weekend with an array of fun activities. There are dragons at Nunnington Hall, jelly Lego bricks at York Castle Museum, bears at the Yorkshire Museum, Mr Bloom at Stockeld Park and even the Gruffalo at Waterstones. We’re exhausted just thinking about it.

What’s on this week in York for kids (19th May) Little VikingsCoffee Club – Hotel Du Vin – 9am to 11am – £5

One of York’s best-kept secrets, Hotel du Vin’s Monday morning coffee club is a godsend for knackered mums (not being sexist, just not seen many dads there). For just a fiver, enjoy a lovely (and unlimited!) continental buffet breakfast, tea and coffee and a chat with other parents in the courtyard. Children are actively welcomed, and although they’re mainly of the babes-in-arms variety, there’s the occasional toddler too. It’s not on every week (sometimes the space is unavailable because of weddings or other events) so keep an eye on Little Vikings (here or on Facebook) for the latest.
