What’s on in and around York this weekend for kids (8th & 9th October)

It’s almost the weekend! Here are some ideas for things to do in and around York with kids over the next couple of days:

Ryedale Book Festival There’s lots of literary fun and activities in Malton this weekend (Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October) including plenty for kids. Decorate a Gruffalo biscuit, hear silly stories and lots more losartan 50 mg. More details here.

City Screen Kids’ Club This week’s film is the classic The Lion King. Saturday 8th October, 11.15am

Autumn Craft Fair at Explore: Acomb Library on Saturday 8th October (9am to 4pm). There’ll be crafty stalls, sand art, kids’ craft activities, face painting, temporary tattoos, autumn treats in the cafe and lots of other activities for kids. Free parking and free entry. More details here.

Piglets Pumpkin Festival Enjoy autumn Piglets fun, including choosing and carving your own pumpkin, on Saturday and Sunday. More details here.

York Marathon Cheer on the amazing people brave/mad enough to embark on a 26.2 mile run around our lovely city. It might just inspire your little vikings to get their trainers on too. Sunday 9th October (beware of road closures).
