It’s not just grown-up theatregoers who’ll be looking forward to the reopening of York Theatre Royal in May – there’s something for little ones to get excited about too: The Twirlywoos are coming to town! What better introduction to the joy of live theatre than seeing their favourite TV characters come to life on stage? We can’t pretend to understand them, but we do know that young children are completely mesmerised by them.

Children can expect mischief, music and plenty of surprises, with beautifully inventive puppetry and music. It’s coming to York from 11th to 13th June 2021 and you can rest assured that your experience will be safe because York Theatre Royal has been ‘See it Safely approved’, guaranteeing that it’s Covid secure. All you need to worry about is the snacks!
