The Gruffalo, Beatrix Potter and more at the Ryedale Book Festival

The Ryedale Book Festival – Malton’s fantastic annual celebration of all things literary – takes place on October 8th & 9th and there’s lots for families to enjoy. Highlights include….

  • The Gruffalo storytelling and biscuit decorating
  • Beatrix Potter storytelling and ceramic painting
  • Funny stories at bedtime, with Patricia Cleveland-Peck (author of You Can’t Take an Elephant on the Bus, a firm favourite in our house)
  • A musical adaptation of The Owl and the Pussycat in the grounds of Malton Castle

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg – check out the full programme for more details. It sounds like a great way to spend the weekend. For more details and to book tickets for certain events, visit the Ryedale Book Festival website.
