Experience the magic of Christmas past as York Castle Museum’s Victorian street comes to life each weekend with a host of Dickensian characters, including Ebeneezer Scrooge himself in his ever-popular one-man show. Visit the Victorian shops (top marks if you can extract yourselves from the sweet shop without making a purchase) but you might want to dodge the Artful Dodger’s Christmas Cure-All Potion. If you’re really (un)lucky, Fagin might even perform a magic trick for you (just watch your pockets). There’ll be festive Punch and Judy shows too! Why not top off your visit with a meeting with Father Christmas?
