Summer in York: Viking and Medieval Life at the Yorkshire Museum

Wednesdays are a great day to visit the Yorkshire Museum with kids in August, with special activities (11am to 1pm, 2pm to 4pm). Meet experts on Viking life at these special sessions:
Coin Striking – 5th  August
Viking Warrior Training – 12th August
Viking Crafts: Weaving and Leather Working – 19th August
Early Medieval Music – 26th August
Combine with a picnic in the Museum Gardens or a run around the ruins. You’re really close to Explore York library, so pop in for a coffee, cake or sandwich (or even to borrow a book).
