Summer in York: Children at the National Railway Museum

trainGo behind the scenes of York Theatre Royal at the National Railway Museum this summer – with set modelling, trying costumes and more – to tie in with the fact that The Railway Children is being performed there over the holidays.
Discover the story of The Railway Children in the Warehouse Paper Chase or take The Railway Children Challenge and follow Mr Perks on an adventure (£5 per person; book via York Theatre Royal). There are demonstrations, live theatre performances and a daily programme of talks and tours. If you haven’t booked your tickets to see a performance of The Railway Children, there’s still time. Even if you don’t watch the show, there’s lots going on at the museum and much of it’s free.
There’s still time to enter our competition to win tickets to the show and a VIP day at the museum – what are you waiting for?
18 July to 6 September 2015 – nrm.org.uk – FREE ENTRY to the museum!
