Slime & pottery delivered to your door by Bish Bash Pot

One of the (many) things our kids have been nagging to do since lockdown is to make their own slime. After much googling, we discovered that it wasn’t something we could just knock together from what’s in the house because we don’t have any contact lens solution (a key ingredient in most of the recipes we found). Bish Bash Pot to the rescue! The popular Walmgate pottery painting studio might be closed for now, but they are still delivering various crafty kids to York addresses, and slime is one of the options.

We decided to buy two kits, one for now and one to put away for a few weeks’ time: a standard kit and one with unicorn colours. We ordered them through the Bish Bash Pot website and they were delivered to our door, in a contact-free way, by Angela (the owner) the very next day.

Each kit comes nicely presented in a box with everything you need to make the slime, some simple instructions and even a bonus packet of Haribo! As well as three colour options, there’s a little pot of foam beads, glitter and more so you can customise your slime. We found the instructions really easy to follow and by the time we got to the last pot, we were whipping up the slime in no time. Top tip: stir, stir, stir! Three different slimes, three happy kids, minimum fuss. And by ordering from a local business, we could feel good about helping the local economy too. Just remind your children not to leave the slime on the carpet…
