It’s one of York’s best family-friendly attractions, and it’s back! The National Railway Museum has now reopened. They’ve been busy behind the scenes to ensure a safe, clean visit for everyone. What hasn’t changed is that admission is still free for all, and it’s still a great place to visit with children.
To manage visitor numbers, they have introduced free, timed and guided routes around the museum to ensure that you have a relaxed visit and can maintain social distancing. To enter the museum you’ll need to book a ticket online in advance. When booking you’ll be able to add extras such as food or a Mallard Experience ticket. You won’t be able to get in without a ticket, so it pays to be organised!
What will be open?
The activities and spaces which are open may be subject to change. All of the latest information will be available on the NRM’s website for you to check before booking. Toilets and baby changing facilities are open, and the cafe is open but you’ll need to pre-book your food. You’re still welcome to take your own food if you’d rather. The Railway Museum one of York’s top family attractions and we can’t wait to get back there.
