It’s a lucky, lucky person whose life hasn’t been touched by cancer one way or another. We know we’re not alone in feeling cross and disappointed that it’s still taking and affecting precious lives in such large numbers, and we’ll do all we can to support the vital work of Cancer Research UK. It’s a tiny thing, but we’ll be signing up for the Race for Life 5k at the Knavesmire this summer to help raise funds. Get a group of friends or family together, get your trainers on and join us! It’s a fantastic, friendly atmosphere and you’ll get a lovely warm glow from knowing you’ve done something good. Not a natural runner? Don’t worry – lots of people walk it, some with buggies (be warned the Knavesmire can be a challenge for urban pushchairs). There’s also a choice of distances: 5km or 10km for the keener amongst you. Like getting dirty? Check out the muddy run too – sounds like fun.
