Description

Nunnington Hall is an attractive National Trust manor house, 45 minutes or so from York. The house itself is beautifully presented and the organic gardens are pretty too. There isn’t the adventure playground that similar local properties have, but there’s plenty else to entertain children including a dedicated children's room with book corner, toys, jigsaws and more. There are regular exhibitions and fun holiday activities, so look out for details of forthcoming events.

The National Trust are going out of their way to make sure that younger visitors enjoy visiting their properties, and Nunnington Hall is no exception. The children’s trail means there’s more chance they’ll engage with their visit and the activity packs give them something to focus on too. There’s enough outdoor space for them to make their own entertainment - play the garden games, make a wish at the wishing tree and watch out for the peacocks! It’s a lovely trip out in the beautiful Howardian Hills. It’s generally closed on Mondays (except bank holidays) so plan wisely!
