If you’re longing for another change of scene, we’ve got more good news for you as you’ll have another option from June 6th 2020: Newby Hall is re-opening. However, some of the highlights for kids, like the little railway, are not open yet and you do need to book tickets in advance, so it pays to be organised. Here’s what you need to know for a lovely day out.
When is Newby Hall re-opening?
Newby Hall will re-open to season ticket holders on Wednesday 3rd June and to the general public from Saturday 6th June. Newby will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Do you need to pre-book?
Yes. The number of visitors to Newby Hall will be limited, so all tickets must be purchased in advance from the Newby Hall website.
What will be open?
For the time being, there is a limit on what will be open at Newby. The adventure playground, railway, dolls’ house exhibition, restaurant and teddy bear exhibition are closed for now, but will be open as soon as possible. The hall will also be closed. Ice creams, snacks and drinks will be available from the Railway Shop and picnics are welcome.
What extra safety measures are in place?
The following safety measures have been put in place:
– Assistance in following social distancing rules
– Additional toilet facilities
– Intensive cleaning regimes
– Protective screens and signage
