Mother Shipton’s re-opening: What you need to know

We love to be the bearer of good news, and this time we’re pleased to announce that Mother Shipton’s is re-opening from Saturday 13th June 2020. Even better, they’ll be charging £25 per car weekdays and £30 weekends and school holidays (maximum of 7 people per car). Here’s what you need to know about the re-opening.

Tickets and pre-booking

Admissions must be booked online in advance. There will be morning and afternoon sessions, each allowing 2.5 hours from when the slot starts for visitors to enjoy the attraction. Admission is for pre-booked cars only, and will include FREE car parking and a FREE trail sheet for the Pixie Village trail. You will need to arrive promptly and leave by the end of your session.

Sessions start from 9.30am with slots every 10 minutes until the last admission at 3pm. The park will close at 5.30pm. New dates and tickets will be released each week until normal operation is resumed.

What will be open?

Visitors will have access to the Pixie Village, woodland walk, petrifying well, wishing well, museum and gift shop and Mother Shipton’s Cave. Toilets will be open. The adventure playground opens on the 4th July, bringing your own hand sanitizer is recommended. There will be ice cream light snacks available.

What safety measures are in place?

Safety measures will be in place, including signage to encourage social distancing, continual cleaning, staff wearing face coverings, access to hand sanitisers and a limit on the number of visitors.
