Head down the rabbit hole for a magical adventure at Mother Shipton’s in Knaresborough this May half-term (29th May to 6th June 2021)! You’ll be grinning like a Cheshire cat when you explore the Wonderland of themed displays and fantastical photo opportunities. Curiouser and curiouser! See what curiosities are hanging from the petrifying well, make a wish in the wishing well, and step inside the cave where Mother Shipton was born.

Go wild in the adventure playground or have your own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party with artisanal coffee, cakes, sandwiches and ice cream served from the vintage style coffee van. There are plenty of picnic benches with scenic views of the River Nidd and ancient royal forest. Don’t be late for this very important date! Tickets are limited and booking is essential; dogs are welcome except in the adventure play area.

Visiting Mother Shipton’s is a great reason to head to Knaresborough, but there’s plenty of other things to do while you’re there, too. There’s a lovely riverside walk, and you can even rent a rowing boat on the river – head to the Marigold Cafe to pick your vessel. The Marigold Cafe also happens to be a lovely place for lunch with beautiful views – we once spotted a kingfisher when we were eating, which was a real tweet!
