Make a musical in York this summer with PQA!


PQA3-598Does your little viking love singing, dancing, acting or film-making? Do they fancy themselves as the next West End star, movie actor or theatre director? If so, the Pauline Quirke Academy York has a couple of fantastic summer courses to suit.

For 6 to 18 year olds: Make A Jukebox Musical

Students will spend 5 days with industry professionals to write and perform their own jukebox musical. Plotting the narrative, choosing songs, rehearsing musical numbers and creating short films are just a few of the things the students can look forward to, culminating in a performance on the final afternoon for parents and families.

For 3-5 year olds: The Wonderful World of Roald Dahl

In this exciting three-day summer school, children will explore some of the characters from Roald Dahl’s best-loved stories, as well as learning musical numbers from West End hits Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Tuesday 11th August to Thursday 13th August 2015 –  9.45am to 12 noon –
