[tab title=”Little Vikings Says…”]Whatever the weather, you’re never stuck for something to do at Lotherton. Follow the path to Deer Park Corner to watch red deer grazing and enjoy terrific views, plus weave your way to the centre of the hay bale maze. Take advantage of the traditional playground and woodland play area, complete with zip-wires! A stroll through the woodlands leads to the orchard, boundary trail and the wide grassy fields, perfect for ball games. Keep an eye out for giant lawn games in warmer weather and a jam-packed events programme all year round.
Go wild at Lotherton’s very own zoo, Wildlife World, to find a wide range of species from across the globe, from our colony of Humboldt Penguins to the zoo’s biggest resident, Arthur the Brazilian Tapir. See a wide range of stunning bird species including a flock of distinctive peachy pink Chilean Flamingos.
Don’t miss out on keeper talks and animal feeding times to really get to know our animals, how they live and what we can do to protect their future. Learn about endangered species and the conservation initiatives as part of European breeding programmes.
Inside the hall, children can explore the special curiosity cabinets and even become an Edwardian in the Dressing Room.
Good to know Keep your eye out for special events throughout the year, including the ever-popular Christmas Experience. There are three family trails that you can download from the website or pick up when you arrive.
