Little Vikings isn’t just the voice of the most fun things to do in York with kids, we even put on fun activities for kids ourselves from time to time. Following the success of our kids’ zone at the launch of the York Family Easter Festival with Make it York, we’re pleased to say we’ve been asked to provide the kids’ activities at York Food and Drink Festival again this year.
The main festival takes place in York city centre in September and October, but to whet your appetite there’s a taster weekend on Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th. Head along to the demo tent in St Sampson’s Square (outside Browns) between 10.30am and 12.30pm where you’ll find us with our friend Ness from York kids’ cookery school Crafty Cooks. We’ll have a selection of free, food-related activities to get stuck into so do come along and get crafty!
Kids aside, there’ll be lots for adults enjoy during the taster weekend including demonstrations from the likes of York Cookery School and The Rattle Owl, bars and a market full of temptations. We challenge you not to eat your bodyweight in brownies/gourmet burgers/pulled pork.
