Join the Little Vikings Recipe Hunt at York Food Festival

York Food Festival is one of the biggest and best festivals of its kind in the UK, and for the third year Little Vikings is putting on some fun, free activities for kids. It all kicks off this weekend (Saturday 23rd September) and new for this year is the Little Vikings Recipe Hunt.
Between 23rd September and 1st October, children can pick up a trail map from the Demo Tent in St Sampson’s Square and then head out to various cafes, restaurants and food outlets to pick up some fab, child-friendly recipes while stocks last. It’s free to take part, and we hope it will inspire children to want to pop on an apron, pick up a wooden spoon and make something tasty from scratch.
Here are the recipes you can collect:

  • Banana bread from York Theatre Royal
  • Falafel wraps from City Screen
  • Sesame seed flapjack from The Bluebird Bakery
  • Pancakes from the Double Dutch Pancake House
  • Yummy Mars Bar crispy cake from Cakes D’Licious
