For kids who love to sing – that’s pretty much all of them, then – what could be better than themed singing sessions run by professional musicians and experienced music teachers? That’s exactly what Songwires are offering to York primary school children (years 1 to 6) this June.
Join Songwires for their upcoming Furs, Feathers and Frogs project (think songs about cats, dogs, frogs and more). There are three sessions this month: two at Acomb Primary School and then a performance at the fantastic National Centre for Early Music.
Sign up as soon as you can this week and your child will even receive a CD pack through the post (how exciting to have something to open!) and then join other local children for three afternoons to sing, perform and have fun together. The cost for participation is a bargain at £20, which includes all three sessions, refreshments, CD and free entry to friends and family for the final performance. Free bursary places are available. Here are the all-important dates:
- Saturday 17th June 2017, 1:30pm-5:00pm at Acomb Primary School
- Sunday 18th June 2017, 1:30pm-5:00pm at Acomb Primary School
- Saturday 24th June 2017, 1:30pm rehearsal, 4:30pm performance at the National Centre for Early Music, Walmgate, York
