The stairs creak, and shadows flicker in the candlelight as the wind howls and rattles the windows: the ghosts of York Mansion House are waking up, ready to cause havoc. For too long, the Lord Mayor has been bothered by these sinister happenings and now needs your help to put a stop to them for good!
Welcome to York Haunted House
This Halloween, York Mansion House will be transformed into the ultimate spooky experience for adventurous little ones (and brave adults…). With a guide, they will venture into dark halls and vast rooms to solve puzzles and crack clues and help protect the house from the ghosts … An electrifying, immersive adventure; treasure awaits those who are brave enough to enter the Haunted House!
This adventure is designed to be spooky, not scary, and makes a great alternative to trick-or-treating. From 5.30pm each day, come and discover what lies within the Haunted House, and – don’t worry! – little ones won’t leave empty-handed, as the evening will end with the discovery of a Haunted House goody bag.
If you can’t make the evening event, throughout half term head to York Mansion House to experience the Haunted House for yourself by picking up a trail to discover the adventure in your own time.
The event runs on 19th & 20th then 23rd to 31st October 2019. Tickets are on sale now priced at £6.50 per child (including a free accompanying adult). For guidance, this event is recommended for children aged 6-13 (although parental discretion is advised). Visit the website for more details and to buy tickets
