Thought you’d left your festival days behind you when you left the hospital with your newborn? Think again! There are some brilliant festivals out there for families and thankfully they don’t all require a several-hour car journey south with bored kids to entertain.
New to Yorkshire in 2016 is Geronimo which comes to Harewood House on May 1st and 2nd. The line-up is pretty impressive for kids (it’s no surprise that it’s been put together by a father-of-seven (seven!)) and we’d wager our last box of Christmas chocolates that the whole family will have an amazing time. There’ll be twelve zones with lots for kids of all ages to enjoy, including Mr Bloom and other CBeebies’ stars in the Geronostage Zone, exciting outdoor activities and adventures in the Adrenaline Zone, amazing acrobatics in the Circus Zone and wildlife in the Pasture Zone. Other highlights include live theatre, musical workshops, jousting, a Frozen singalong, daring displays, archery, baby yoga, dog displays and loads more. Although there’s no camping onsite, you can book into one of the nearby sites for the full under-the-stars experience (but without the, er, challenges of an adult festival campsite).
Geronimo 2016 takes place on May 1st and 2nd 2016 and tickets are available now for a special discounted price of £18.50, with under-2s free of charge. Ticket prices will rise to £25, then £30, the closer we get to the event. For more information about Geronimo and to book tickets visit the Geronimo website.
