The Great British High Street of the Year – our very own Bishy Road – will be welcoming in the festive season this year with a winter lights switch-on and festive trail.
The lights will be turned on at 4.30pm on Friday 18th November with details to be confirmed, but a warm community atmosphere is always guaranteed. There’ll be no street closure, so parking and traffic won’t be affected.
The Bishy Road Festive Trail will run from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th November. Pick up a trail leaflet for £5 and then follow the route for over 20 offers and gifts from the traders, like a free Christmas decoration from the lovely Olive’s Nest, 10% off at The Pig & Pastry (save us a seat please) and a free glass or mulled wine or cider at The Winning Post. £1 goes to The Samaritans and the remainder goes towards the Christmas lights. The raffle is well worth entering too, with some amazing prizes to be won. There’ll be a children’s treasure hunt too – spot the baubles to claim your bag of treasure! Tickets are on sale now at The Good Food Shop, Trinacria Sicilian Cafe Bar, Frankie & Johnny’s Cookshop and Olive’s Nest, all on Bishy Road.
