York residents are lucky to have such fantastic museums and galleries on the doorstep, and we’re even luckier that some of them are opening their doors for free for one weekend in June. Head to York Castle Museum, York Art Gallery and the Yorkshire Museum (or all three!) on Saturday June 24th and Sunday June 25th to enjoy what they’ve got to offer free of charge. Just take along a valid YorkCard or council tax bill to show where you live. If you like what you see, it’s worth thinking about getting a YMT Card which gives you a year of free entry to the attractions. It’s just £11 for York residents, and we’ve used ours so much that we’ve almost worn them out!
