It’s not long until York – which must surely be heading the nominations for the ‘City with the most festivals’ award – plays host to its annual Literature Festival. There’s loads going on for grown-ups, but little literature-lovers won’t miss out either. York Theatre Royal will be putting on two special performances of Forest of Fables, an enchanting tale involving the wind, a leaf, a fox, a gnat and some cheese! Aimed at children over four, it’s going to be a story to remember. There’s even a puppet-making workshop beforehand, for a small additional fee.
Forest of Fables – York Theatre Royal (Studio) – Saturday 29th March – 1pm and 3.30pm – Running time 1 hour 45 minutes – Adults £10, children £6 – Puppet workshop from 11am in the De Grey Rooms (£3) – book online or in person at the box office.
