Explore York Summer Reading Challenge 2018: Mischief Makers

We’re delighted to say that our favourite summer activity – the Explore York Summer Reading Challenge – is back this year and it’s got a theme that will appeal to our resident Beano subscribers: Mischief Makers. There’ll be pranks aplenty as the Reading Challenge teams up with The Beano to celebrate 80 years of menacing madness. Join many other York children in reading six books over the summer holidays to win prizes, including the coveted medal! There’s a mini version for under 5s too. The challenge launches on Saturday 14th July 2018 and there’ll be activities during the holidays to enjoy, like animation sessions, fun science, crafting, storytime and more in the libraries across York. It’s a brilliant way to get your kids into reading – we do it every year and summer just wouldn’t be the same without it. Keep an eye on the Explore York website for details.
