Fancy an alternative to a Christmas Grotto this year? Then why not head to Scarborough and visit the magical world of Grue?

Built by Scarborough’s community and made entirely of recycled and repurposed materials, Grue is a wandering cardboard labyrinth of rooms to explore and wonders to discover. Back by popular demand, the walk-through immersive experience is returning to Scarborough Old Parcels Office from 3 December until 23 December 2022.

By artist Wintercroft, and produced by arts charity ARCADE, the experience demonstrates the magic that can be created from a bit of imagination and a lot of recycling. It encourages you to discover ways to help the fragile land by working alongside an unexpected investigator to see the impact we can have on the environment we live in – both in and outside of Grue.
