Eden Camp – The sights and sounds of WW2
Set in the buildings and grounds of an original WW2 Prisoner of War camp, visitors can experience the sights, sounds and smells of life on the Home Front and the Front Line. All of the displays will be open, including the vehicle restoration workshop, and the play area will be open too (weather permitting) – always a bonus. There’ll be some live talks and demonstrations and the chance to help ‘build history’ in the Eden Camp Heritage Restorations Tank Bank, and they’ve started work on a new Blitz display, so keep an eye out for more information on that too. Details of their virtual tours and digital archive, new for this year, are available on the website. Tickets need to be pre-booked, so be quick if you’d like to visit during May half term (or any other time).
