Drawsome! 2022 in York
Drawsome! – York’s celebration of illustration and music is set to return to York this May. The 4-day festival is returning to multiple venues across the city, helping to inspire creators young and old to get hands-on and experience the local arts offer as well as a selection of established headline acts.
Visitors to Drawsome! 2022 will have the opportunity to try out new skills with confirmed activities on offer including creating your own ‘zine’ – a short magazine on a topic of your choice as well as a special ‘recycled robots’ build event, where participants can build their own bot out of recycled materials.
Music lovers will have the chance to indulge their passions, with a host of artists from across the globe, including Yama Warashi, a Japanese artist based in London who is influenced by folk, jazz and psychedelic music as well as Haiku Salut, a Derbyshire based collective that fuses elements of neoclassical, post-rock, folk and electronica. There will also be the chance to see some of the best and brightest local talents, such as Bonneville, Trueman and the Indoor League and Kitty VR alongside many others. There will also be a series of exhibitions where music meets arts, including a mugshot exhibition curated by York music collective, Young Thugs.
All this and more will take place across four key venues across the city: The Crescent, The Fulford Arms, Spark:York and the South Bank Social Club. Some events are free, while others are paid.
Tickets for the highlight events are on sale now at https://www.seetickets.com/tour/drawsome-2022 with tiered tickets priced from £0-12.
