Take a peek in a few of the yards and gardens where you live and the chances are you’ll spot a fair few trampolines. We’ve got a little one in our tiny garden and our friends have just found space in their yard for a 6 footer for their youngest’s 3rd birthday. Yep, kids love a trampoline, so we’ve no doubt that York’s kids are going to love Energi, the new trampoline park that opens this weekend (Saturday 30th April to be precise).
We were lucky enough to have a look around Energi earlier this week and were really impressed by what we saw. It’s a huge space filled with interconnected trampolines just waiting to be jumped on. Everything’s shiny, new and designed with safety in mind (if you’ve ever supervised a toddler on an old-school trampoline and worried about them trapping a foot, you’ll be just as relieved as me about that).
It’s not just about jumping up and down though: there’s a dodgeball area, foam pits, air bags, cardio and height challenges and loads more. One-hour sessions will run throughout the week, with some specialist sessions (for younger children, for example) to be announced. If you’d rather watch than join in, there’s a great cafe and viewing area. Got a birthday party to plan? Energi’s set up for them, with three dedicated party rooms and some enthusiastic hosts raring to entertain your kids.
