Creepy goings-on at Castle Howard this October half term

Feeling brave? This half term, you can explore the ‘haunted’ East Wing of Castle Howard, which has been uninhabited and out of bounds to visitors for years. It’ll be  haunted by a cast of imaginary spooky characters and creatures. Not for the faint-hearted, it’ll thrill kids and give adults the chance to see part of Castle Howard that’s normally closed to the public. Little ones can enjoy storytelling, Halloween trails and a dressing up competition.

Included in the admission price to the house and/or grounds, you can spend as long as you like on a trail around the Burnt Out Wing, finding spooky happenings and creatures along the way. Enjoy a trick or treat from the potting shed sweet shop as you leave, and head on a treasure hunt style walk through Ray Wood.
