Let your little one’s inner cook come out this Christmas with a special festive baking class at The Cookery School at The Grand, York. These fantastic parent and child classes are a great way to keep little hands busy as they create fun gingerbread figures or delicious Christmas cupcakes.

Budding bakers will not only have a great deal of fun in the kitchen, they’ll also learn valuable cookery skills to try out at home. Who knows, you could have the next Mary Berry or Jamie Oliver on your hands! Here are the two classes on offer.

FESTIVE BAKING: CHRISTMAS CUPCAKES

This class is a great excuse to get your hands dirty with a family favourite: cupcakes. With the addition of some seasonal decoration to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to two simple but delicious recipes, the whole family will be wanting one of these hand-crafted treats in their stockings.

FESTIVE BAKING: GINGERBREAD

Create a whole family of gingerbread figures, fully iced to look just like your favourite aunts and uncles! They’re perfect to take home for a later nibble, or to enjoy with a warming chocolate fondue to round your class off.
