Charlie & Lola at Ryedale Book Festival for kids

September might seem a long way off, but it’ll be here before we know it and we didn’t want you to miss out on the chance to encounter children’s author Lauren Child of Charlie & Lola fame at this year’s Ryedale Book Festival. Head across on Saturday 23rd September to hear the new children’s laureate introduce her new Charlie & Lola book, A Dog with Nice Ears, at this fantastic Malton festival. Pre-booking is required (tickets £5; free for children under 1).

That’s not the only fun thing going on at the festival for kids. Why not join acclaimed author/illustrator Tim Hopgood and his new creation, Doodle Dogs, at the most artistic dog show in town, or listen to Andrew Cope, author of Spy Dog, Spy Pups and Spy Cat, talk about reading, writing and life as an author. There’ll be craft and other activities to get involved in, too. What more could a little bookworm ask for?
