Owned by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Levisham Camping Coach is a popular choice for families wanting to explore the wonderful North York Moors. Sit back, unwind and enjoy the magnificent views through the window of Levisham Camping Coach as trains depart from and arrive at the station. Take advantage of the delightful paddock with picnic benches and plenty of grass for children to let off steam before venturing along a forest trail to catch a glimpse of wildlife.

The camping coach has three bedrooms and sleeps up to five people and consists of one double, one 3/4 double bedroom, and one children’s bunkbed room, each with wardrobe/cupboards.

The well-furnished camping coach comes with a fully equipped kitchen with a cooker, microwave and fridge with a small freezer compartment and bathroom with a shower cubicle only. The dining table comfortably seats five in the lounge area, which has Freeview TV.

FREE travel on the North Yorkshire Moors railway when booking to stay in Levisham Camping Coach. The camping coaches are available for a minimum of a 7-day stay, Saturday to Saturday.

Grosmont Station House, North York Moors

Owned by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Grosmont Station House is a restored station house located at Grosmont Station, suitable for up to five people. There is plenty to do in the area, from embarking on one of the many walks from the station onto the moors, or for something less energetic, strolling to the nearby artist’s studio. Across the river is St Matthew’s Church, where you can discover the remarkable story of Grosmont’s industrial heritage and learn about the Whitby to Pickering Railway, before resting your feet at the Station Pub accompanied by a pint of ale.

The beautifully restored Station House is located at Grosmont Station and is suitable for up to five people. This house really has something for everyone. For the little ones (or not so little)) the basement has been converted into a cinema and games room – with table fusball and every channel you would need. The other three floors are dedicated to providing a cosy and luxurious break for families. This three-bedroom townhouse sleeps six and is next to York’s medieval city walls, a ten-minute walk from the station, seven minutes from the city centre and three minutes from Rowntree Park with its fab playgrounds. It’s also just around the corner from Bishy Road with lots of cool shops and kid-friendly cafes. In addition to towels, bed linen, toiletries and basic kitchen supplies there is also a highchair and travel cot and a wide selection of games and books. The kitchen is fully equipped to make any family meal (although there are plenty of takeaway options locally too). If you are driving, there is access to a paid secure car park two minutes away. The owners live in York as well and are always on hand to answer any questions or help in whatever way they can.

Beningbrough Hall is a great place near York for families to visit during the day, but did you know that you can stay over too? The bright, two-bedroom apartment in the heart of the estate is situated above the Victorian Laundry, close to the Hall and the play area. Recently refurbished, it’s modern and comfortable. Visit the house for free when it’s open, and play in the wilderness area too! It’s just a short drive from all the attractions in York – the only problem will be fitting it all in.
