This lovely family-run open farm is a great place to visit with young children – we love seeing the animals, exploring the adventure playground and having something to eat in the cafe. Situated just outside York, there's free parking, plenty of picnic space and it's a great option for birthday parties for animal-mad kids too.

Meet their rare breeds 

From pygmy hedgehogs to rheas, turkeys to goats, Beetle Bank Farm have lots of wonderful animals for you to get to know. Their friendly staff are on hand to answer your questions and help you look after these beautiful creatures.

Play and explore

Let off steam in the fields, go wild in the adventure playground, have fun in the sandpit or ride on the tractors and play with the inflatables.

Education Centre

Café and Farm Shop

Relax and revive over breakfast, lunch or a cup of tea in the café, looking out over the beautiful grounds. All the food and produce is local, delicious and homemade.
