Scampston is a beautiful family-owned regency country house, stunning walled kitchen garden and oodles of parkland. The walled garden is packed with delights and lots of excellent hiding places, as our children discovered, but it’s well worth venturing out into the parkland and following one of the nature trails too. Pick up a nature trail bag and borrow an explorer backpack to make the most of your visit.

Just outside Malton, Scampston’s easy to reach via the A64 and there’s ample free parking. Look out for special children’s activities during the summer holidays. There’s a lovely cafe on site, with a children’s menu, baby changing and all-important ice cream!
