Archaeology fun for kids: Little Diggers for 2 to 5 year olds

Dig, play and learn at a Little Diggers session at DIG, St Saviourgate on certain Saturday mornings throughout the summer holidays (10am to 11am,  for 2-5 year olds). We’ve taken our kids loads of times, but they never get bored of it (and in fact were asking to go back again during the summer holidays). The staff are incredibly informed and enthusiastic, and it really rubs off on the kids.

This summer’s sessions are themed as follows: Saturday 29th July – Norse Myths and Stories; Saturday 12th August – Archaeology of the future; Saturday 26th August – Garden explorers. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. There’s also a range of archaeology events in Coppergate from 27th to 31st July as part of the Festival of British Archaeology. Find more details in our events calendar.
