Families can enjoy a packed programme of free activities across the birthday weekend, with something for train lovers of all ages.\n\n\n\nHighlights include:\n\n\n\n\n– Station Hall reopens – explore the newly refurbished hall, filled with historic rail treasures.\n\n\n\n– Behind-the-scenes tours – peek inside the Conservation Studio, Archive Stores and Art Store (tours are ticketed and limited).\n\n\n\n– Cab access – climb aboard famous locomotives including Mallard, Intercity 125, Boxhill and Eurostar.\n\n\n\n– Curator talks & object picks – discover fascinating railway stories straight from the experts.\n\n\n\n– Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery – get hands-on with science and engineering (usually ticketed, but free this weekend.
