SUMMARY:York Dungeon Little Peasants Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:\nSign up for an exclusive fundraising event for the Lord Mayor of York’s two local charities: The Snappy Trust and York Women’s Counselling Service.\n\n\n\nThe York Dungeon present their Little Peasants Walking Tour, and at the end of the tour the Lord Mayor will greet you at the Mansion House, where you will have the opportunity to take a look inside should you have the time to!\n\n\n\nIt’s taking place on Sunday 19th May and you can choose from three tour times, departing at 10am, 12 noon or 2pm. Select your time when you book. CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR TICKETS!\n\n\n\nDiscover the toe-curling tales of the city…\n\n\n\n…as two of their favourite Dungeon residents, the ever so bonkers & slightly sarcastic Dungeon Jester and our most ugliest & smelliest peasant Smedley, are being released onto the streets of the city to take little peasants and their families on a journey to discover York’s HAUNTED history, but in the safety of the sunlight.\n\n\n\nOn the Little Peasants City Walking Tour, there will be plenty to see, lots to learn and a barrel load of laughs with the Dungeon Jester & Smedley. Learn about York’s most infamous rogues and heavenly saints including Dick Turpin, Guy Fawkes and the Pearl of York herself, Margaret Clitherow. Enjoy stories of Roman exploits and Viking invasions!\n\n\n\nSee York’s most spectacular sights including Clifford’s Tower, York Minster and The Shambles, just to name a few. And don’t forget the many tales of tragedy, horror, hangings and ghosts – Boo!\n\n\n\nThe Rules\n\n\n\n– You must have a little peasant (child!) in your party to take on the Walking Tour and all tickets must be booked online in advance.\n\n\n\n– Also, we demand… we mean… request that all peasants arrive promptly at the York Dungeon for their tour or else the Dungeon Jester and Smedley WILL leave you behind!\n\n\n\nAt the end of your tour, you will arrive at the Mansion House, where you will be greeted by the Lord Mayor of York and take a tour of one of York’s most historic buildings, if you’d like.\n\n\n\nAll of the money raised will be donated to the Lord Mayor of York’s chosen charities.\n\n\n\nAbout the charities:\n\n\n\nThe Snappy Trust is a small charity, based in York, dedicated to maximising the personal development of children and young people with wide ranging disabilities.\n\n\n\nYork Women’s Counselling Service (YWCS) provides one-to-one counselling for women who are experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties as a result of current or past emotional stress or trauma, regardless of their financial circumstances.\n
